We currently have openings for Technicians that hold either a Commercial Transport or Heavy Equipment Mechanic certification. RESPONSIBILITIES:

​

• General truck repairs and preventive maintenance.

• Diagnostics and repair of both mechanical and electronic diesel engines.

• Engine Rebuilding.

• Utilize electronic diagnostic computers and software quickly and effectively (Engine / Brakes /Electrical / HVAC / Aftertreatment Systems).

• Commercial vehicle inspections.

• Keep accurate & detailed job reports, and advise the service department on recommended or required follow-up repairs.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Able to complete jobs in a timely, effective and safe manner.

• Follow company safety guidelines.

• Preventive Maintenance of Diesel engines (Automotive, Marine & Power Generation).

• Commissioning of new marine engine packages & stand-by generator packages.

• Pre-purchase and Pre-season inspections on (Marine).

• Strong focus on customer service excellence & Up-time.

• Ability to adhere to different job site safety standards.

• Able to clearly and efficiently order parts.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

​

• Red Seal Journeyman/Journeywoman Commercial Transport or Heavy Equipment Technician qualification.

• Experienced in diesel engine diagnostics and repair.

• Proficient operation of O.E.M diagnostic software (such as but not limited to (Cummins, Navistar /International, Detroit Diesel, Bendix etc.).

• Proficient operation of computers & software (Microsoft Office & or G-Suite).

• Ability to Provide unparalleled customer service to our customers.

• Must be organized & self-motivated with strong communication and time management skills.

• Must have a valid class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract. (Class 1 or 3 would be considered a strong asset and is eligible for hourly incentive).

• A valid BC commercial vehicle inspector certification would be considered an asset and is eligible for hourly incentives.
